Qualcomm Snapdragon 712SoC Launched with Quick Charge 4+ Support and Other Advanced Features

Qualcomm has launched a new Snapdragon 7-series chipset as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC. The 712 SoC succeeds the previous Snapdragon 710 Soc bringing some advanced features to the Snapdragon 7-series.

Some of the key features of this SoC are Quick charge 4+ support and Qualcomm Aqstic audio technology. It also comes with the octa-core architecture. Which is based on kryo 360 cores as the previous 710 SoC.  However,the Snapdragon 712 is clocked slightly higher at 2.3GHz than the previous 710 SoC (clocked at 2.2GHz) which is paired with Adeno 612 GPU.

Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 712 SoC will boost the gaming performance up to 10 percent compared to its predecessors. The Quick charge 4+ also claims to charge the battery from 0 to 50 in as little as 15 minutes.

The Snapdragon 712 SoC comes with the Spectra 250 ISP that has support for up to 20-megapixel dual cameras or a single 32-megapixel single camera, it also supports 4K video recording at 30fps and full-HD video recording at 120fps.

When it comes to media playback, the new 712 SoC has support for 4K Ultra HD video playback on an HDR 10-supported display with a maximum resolution of QHD+ (1440×3360 pixels). Qualcomm Aqstic audio technology handles the audio department and is further backed by Qualcomm aptX for more refined music playback over wireless headphones. There is also support for Bluetooth 5.0 and tri-band Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity.
